During treatment, a light beam penetrates the sub-dermal skin layer and is absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. The energy is powerful enough to denaturize the hair follicle and inhibit future hair growth, yet gentle enough to leave the surrounding tissue unharmed.
ACNE
A drug-free option to treat acne that destroys bacteria to eliminate acne lesions
During treatment energy is directed at the P. acne bacteria and the porphyrins which they produce. The porphyrins then release oxygen which destroys the bacteria. In parallel, the energy coagulates the small blood vessels that nourish the acne lesions.
